Guest-room design inspiration with layered lighting and bedside controls

Hotel & guest-room automation

Make the room
part of the welcome.

Thoughtful guest experiences. Coordinated room systems. A clear operating brief for the people who look after the property.

For hotels, lodges, serviced apartments and residential developments.

Design around the stay

Small moments. A more considered experience.

An example room journey, tailored to the property and commissioned against the selected equipment.

Illustrative room scenario

A room ready to welcome.

An approved entry or welcome command can activate an agreed lighting scene and comfort setting. Staff and guest access rules are defined separately.

  • Welcome lighting
  • Selected curtain position
  • Comfort preset

The guest room management system

The room and the operation, considered together.

Define what guests control, what staff can see and what the system should do before choosing the equipment.

01

Lighting & scenes

Welcome, reading, relaxation and goodnight settings, with intuitive manual controls.

02

Curtains & climate

Coordinate shade and compatible HVAC interfaces around guest preferences and agreed room modes.

03

Occupancy inputs

Combine specified presence, door or key-card inputs with tested timing and override rules.

04

Service requests

Plan do-not-disturb and make-up-room indications with a clear staff response process.

05

Staff visibility

Define room status, permissions and dashboards supported by the selected management platform.

06

Energy strategy

Agree which loads can change with room status. Any metering, reporting or savings assessment needs a defined scope.

Behind the experience

Choose the right room architecture.

A wired room controller and a wireless device network solve different installation needs. We select the design after reviewing the building and operations brief.

Wired room control

Plan supported RS485 wall controls and sensors with a room controller, correctly sized outputs, power supplies and cable routes. Suitable for projects where infrastructure can be coordinated early.

Wireless room control

Evaluate compatible Zigbee devices, gateways and radio coverage for the proposed room layout. Wireless communication still needs a power and load-control plan.

From an idea to everyday use

A clear route to a working system.

The installation starts with a design conversation. Choose the path closest to your project.

Design for the site

Upgrade around the home you already have.

Begin with the routines that matter most, then choose the least disruptive route that the existing installation can support.

  • Inspect the switch wiring, neutral availability, back boxes and connected loads.
  • Check Wi-Fi coverage and plan the device network and gateway locations.
  • Pilot a room, validate controls and agree the next phase.

Your starting point: a room survey and a phased upgrade plan.
